Zeitgeist

I just finished watching Zeitgeist, the Movie and it was pretty awesome! It beautifully talks about how fake everything in the world is, that nothing is real, that everything is fucked up.

There are numerous scenes from the movie Network (1976) which were the highlights of the film for me, the things that guy said, absolutely awesome! I cannot believe that I haven’t bothered to watch this amazing movie that has been lying around in my hard disk for ages!!!

Anyway, One has to realize how prejudiced each and everyone is; I believe that all religions in the world are bullshit and the movie says so, I applaud it and accept its view without any resistance whatsoever. It then goes on to say that the 9/11 was an inside job and that all the world’s a stage, and is controlled by a few fucked up retarded motherfuckers, but then this time I β€˜m not so open to accept all the brainwash that the movie really is because there’s a hint of doubt in me, as to whether everything is really the conspiracy as show in the movie.

Ah, the human mind, how it clings on to even the smallest piece of evidence in favor of some belief and reinforces it; how it manages to zero in on the most trivial piece of argument against something it doesn’t want to believe so that it can go on thinking that it has been right all along.

Once the movie was over, I instantly remember Morgan Freeman saying this in Se7en –

” “The world is a fine place and worth fighting for.” I agree with the second part. “

The main fucked up part about this otherwise brilliantly done movie was how one sided it was, it was all so so brainwash-y that you didn’t wanna believe whatever the narrator was saying because the other side was given no chance whatsoever to explain their side of the story. For a movie claiming to free the world from all the bullshit, it does a bad job of trying to force all the shit onto you in a couple of hours!

I am reminded of another conspiracy theory that I encountered for the first time a few years ago, The Apollo Moon Landing Hoax Theory . A lot of people still believe that NASA never landed on the moon, and this conspiracy theory was spread across the world through a FOX Channel documentary thing or something in exactly the same way as this movie. I guess if you are one of the believers of the Moon Landing Hoax theory, you will find that documentary as engrossing as I found Zeitgeist. It is, after all a matter of opinion and belief; nothing ever is wrong or right in the world. Anyway, I stumbled upon The Bad Astronomer’s debunking of the Hoax and now I believe that we DID goto the Moon ( and it make s me cry with amazement every time I think about it :)). So all I really wanna say is, unless the conspiracy theorists realize that for thinking people ( for whom they wish to put the point across anyway because the brainwashed ones who never think are fucked up beyond repair ), both sides of the story is necessary to come to a rational conclusion and a biased brainwashed bullshit thing would never get the job done.

I saw this in the comments section of a blog that sums it all up:

I hope that nothing I say ”about this movie” pisses you off. Sure don’t want to have to go and fuck myself. But before I fall into the abyss of groveling agreement, could you help me understand your lead-in sentences? How does the paradox of ”countless of thousands” work itself out? How did you discover the ”hidden knowledge” if it was hidden? Anyway, the movie is a well presented and entertaining theory. Like you my friend, I will not accept it ”as law”. If I did, I might have to tell anyone who didn’t appease my opinion to go F themselves. That’s what Hitler did. But since he was one of the co-stars of the film, I guess its OK. Well, to close, I feel that I must tell you about this group of people out here that actually encourage open discussion. It seems that they have found this thing called ”rational thinking” that has shown absolute truth (not personal truth) to be usually located somewhere in the middle of two heavily debated arguments. Some of them have the audacity to believe that a quickly judged personal truth most often turns out to be a personal deception. But don’t be concerned Nate. Those freaks won’t respond to this post. They’re all out fucking themselves right now. I’ve watched the movie. It’s nice not being a fool any longer. The way to happiness is quite clear… Practically invisible. Real eyes realise real lies.

And the ride goes up and down and round and round. It has thrills and chills and it’s very brightly coloured and it’s very loud and it’s fun, for a while. Some people have been on the ride for a long time and they begin to question, is this real, or is this just a ride? And other people have remembered, and they cobrightly coloured and it’s very loud and it’s fun, for a while. Some people have been on the ride for a long time and they begin to question, is this real, or is this just a ride? And other people have remembered, and they come back to us, they say, “hey – don’t worry, don’t be afraid, ever, because, this is just a ride…” …It’s just a ride. And we can change it anytime we want. It’s only a choice. No effort, no work, no job, no savings and money. A choice, right now, between fear and love. The eyes of fear want you to put bigger locks on your doors, buy guns, close yourself off. The eyes of love, instead, see all of us as one. Here’s what we can do to change the world, right now, to a better ride. Take all that money that we spend on weapons and defenses each year and instead spend it feeding and clothing and educating the poor of the world, which it would many times over, not one human being excluded, and we could explore space, together, both inner and outer, forever, in peace.” — The Late Bill Hicks, Comedian

Anyways… v can never take anything seriously, man. All the world’s a stage, alright, but even the Zeitgeist floos are players in it.

But its pretty much great, watching people try and disprove something we have all been told not to question. And the excitement ends there. Maybe religion is bullshit. Even alcohol is bullshit. But hey, its a free world.

You do what you gotta do. πŸ™‚
